Twitster Blog
Hello, Twitster!
Thanks for taking the time to check out Twitster, a new open source application that makes it like crazy-easy to build a Twitter-based community on your web site.
Twitster was the brain child of Byrne and I after we deployed a similar application to help power and bring together a Twitter community around Movable Type. The project was called “HashMT,” which got its name from its ability to aggregate and publish tweets augmented with the twitter tag “#mt”.
When we saw what we created, we thought to ourselves, “huh, I think others might want to use this for their web sites and projects.” And so, Twitster was born.
We hope you like it and look forward to seeing how people use it!

I am in love with Twitster! Easy, simple, good looking, and exactly what I was looking for. Absolutely amazing work. I have already installed two instances of Twitster on http://family.michaelgrace.org to create a twitter mash-up of my tweets and my wife’s tweets.
Also, a local group of geek tweeters that I am a participant in has installed Twitster on http://rexburggeeks.com and we are all excited about it.
I will also be using Twitster to do some experimenting with backchannel during conferences. Thanks for the great Twitter tool that you have created and shared with the world.
Excellent, Mike, glad to hear it… let me know if you have any problems getting it working as it should!
beautiful. Keep up the good work
cheers.
