Ride For Life

Ride For Life is a charitable organization that helps raise money and awareness in the fight for a cure to ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. For 10 days, ALS patients ride their electric wheelchairs more than 150 miles, starting on the flight deck of the U.S.S. Intrepid in Manhattan and ending in Montauk, on the tip of Long Island, to raise funds for a cure and to create ALS awareness.

When Chris Pendergast and Bob Cauttero approached us they had a site that contained a lots of helpful information, but they felt that getting at the information wasn't very intuitive. So we put together not only an entirely new look and feel for the site, we integrated some very important accessibility features that made it easy for those with disabilities to find information that would be helpful for them.

Structuring everything with Movable Type, we allowed nearly every part of the site to be updated through its simple interface, even the banner ads! Podcasts, events, news articles and product offerings... everything managable without the middleman. And all of this usable goodness wrapped up in a tasty, magazine-style design.
