For a while now, my wife has wanted to create a memory cookbook--bringing together all of the great cooking in her family along with stories and tips and preserving them for our children.

So for her birthday, I came up with DeliciousBits, a website where she can journal it all.

And there's some really neat stuff at work on the back end. The 4"x6" recipe cards are actually just the individual entries, only loaded with a different stylesheet specified. Drop shadows are added via CSS, keeping the source image clean for other uses.

In fact, there's so much flexibility with Movable Type that at any time we could set up MT to publish her recipes to a .PDF file--essentially turning her website into a printable cookbook!
