The initial design of The Style Contest site was meant to attract attention. Strong colors, highly stylized with bold strokes to help brand the site in the minds of visitors.

Now that the contest is over and The Style Contest is changing to The Style Archive, the purpose of the design has changed. A clean, usable look that lets all the amazing styles speak for themselves.

And--of course--the hat is back by popular demand.
